Personal Web Communication

The Web makes it possible for you to create a site that is dedicated to sharing your personal experiences and observations with the world. 

Blogs are one pecific type of Web site using content management software (CMS) that is easily set up and update by anyone who can write on a keyboard.  Their focus tends to be personal editorial although some blogs have been elevated to credentialed expert opinon.  Blogs may be hosted under the umbrella of a blog hosting service which can create a blog 'sub-site' within minutes. 

Facebook is another specialized type of personal Web site that is easy to create and set up plus it comes with a built in way to be found.  What type of personal site you create depends on what you want to communicate, and how unique you would like it to be.

Including a blog area on a general Web site can be a good communication strategy.  For some professionals and small organizations using a blog as your primary site may also work.
